Welcome to Depict PR

December 27th, 2009

Welcome to Depict!

We’re very excited to officially launch our new website with the help of Tegan and the team at Pilot Interactive. Our blog is here to fill you in on all upcoming events and some of the great projects that we’re working on.

When creating our site, we had the pleasure  of shooting our bio headshots with photographer Alex Jowett at his stunning studio – Atelier 688.  Alex was also recently featured in Design Lines Magazine -

“Jowett recently opened Atelier 688 in the west-end’s Fashion District after a decade of photographing and surfing his way around the globe. His 139-square-metre space is like a gallery filled with light fixtures, furniture, and artwork, all made by homegrown talent. Jowett’s goal is to offer a more casual shopping experience than the “slick, over-styled” cubes he feels dominate the design scene these days. Wearing jeans and flip-flops, he explains, “I was inspired by 18th-century French salon–style galleries.” These art galleries were designed to mimic a typical Parisian living room, to help the buyer envision a piece in their own space. Similarly, Atelier 688 is a naturally lit loft that’s casually but impressively decorated with designer goods and vintage pieces, and almost every thing is for sale.”
